Applicants
are normally invited to attend an audition and tour the
school. Auditions are held regularly throughout the year
and involve a Classical Ballet class and assessment papers
in Maths and English. While we are non-selective academically,
the papers assist us in placing successful candidates in
appropriate classes and year groups. Acceptance on the Vocational
Dance Course is subject to candidates' completing a successful
audition and being accepted as students at the School of
S. Mary & S. Anne, Abbots Bromley. Overseas students may
send an audition video, in which case they will also need
to arrange for the papers to be completed under approved
conditions. Extra dance and academic reports may also be
requested.
This
Prospectus describes the broad principles on which the partnership
between the Alkins School of Ballet and the school of S.
Mary & S. Anne, Abbots Bromley combines to offer the Vocational
Dance Course, and should be read in conjunction with the
current Prospectus of the school of S. Mary & S. Anne, Abbots
Bromley. Although believed correct at the time of printing,
the prospectus is not part of any agreement between the
parents and the Schools. Parents wishing to place specific
reliance on a matter contained in the Prospectus should
seek written confirmation of that matter before entering
into an agreement with the schools.
